Reason: Rhodiola, also known as “golden root” or “rose root”  counteracts the effects of the stress hormone cortisol. Too much cortisol is known to cause belly-fat and depression.

Rhodiola works by changing proteins so your body copes better with anxiety. It appears to be able to significantly reduce the effects of prolonged and minor physical exhaustion that results in fatigue. Vitamins A, D, E, K

Your body can make up to 25,000 units (IU) of Vitamin D in just 20 minutes when you’re outside in the sunshine. Unless you’re wearing clothes, or sunscreen, or it’s not sunny, or you just don’t get outside much…

So it’s pretty obvious that our bodies need that Vitamin D – after all, we wouldn’t be capable of creating this naturally if that were the case.

The trouble is, not many of us are living in Africa any more, most of us spend more time indoors that outside – and very very few walk around naked.

Trouble is, our bodies haven’t evolved to recognize this. Our body’s Vitamin D manufacturing plant hasn’t been turbo-charged by Mother Nature to compensate.

So, most of us are deficient. And the relationship between vitamin D and mood is well-known.

We use 1000 IU of Vitamin D which is well above the recommended value of 400 IU but heading nearer to what our body needs.

One thing to bear in mind is that Vitamin D HAS to have friends along. It works in conjunction with vitamins A, E, and K. It’s essential to all 4.

Reason: A large number of mood disorders are actually thyroid disorders in disguise.

Your thyroid constantly produces hormones which your brain transforms and activates. Every single hormone to and from your thyroid is attached to 4 iodine molecules. So if you don’t have enough iodine… you’ll have an underactive thyroid. We all know that hormone do very powerful things inside your body.

Dr. David Brownstein, author of “Iodine: Why You Need It, Why You Can’t Live Without It”, says,

      “I am frequently asked by my patients if I had only one natural item to treat my patients with, which would it be? Though there are many natural items that provide such wonderful effects for the body, one nutrient stands head and shoulders above the rest — iodine. In all my years of practicing medicine, I have yet to see one item provide such miraculous effects on the body as iodine does.

Your body doesn’t make iodine on its own so you need to get it through your diet. The problem is… what you eat doesn’t contain iodine!

Getting too much iodine is as bad as not getting enough, which is why we use just enough to allow for circulating levels of TSH to approach 50 mU/L with regular use.

Iodine deficiency is becoming an increasingly common cause of thyroid health problems, in Australia and around the world. Iodine Deficiency is the commonest cause worldwide of preventable mental retardation.

Iodine supplementation is recommended by the National Health Ministers Research Council, (NHMRC) for all women contemplating pregnancy, pregnant or breastfeeding, announced in 2010, who recommend a daily pregnancy supplement, including 150 ug of iodine.

The Australian Thyroid Foundation (ATF) recommended by The Food Standards of Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ) reports that Australian school children and pregnant and breastfeeding women suffer from mild to moderate iodine deficiency.

What’s the cause of this? Iodine is present in fairly constant amounts in seawater, but not on land and in fresh water.

In Australia and New Zealand, natural iodine levels are very low in the soils where we grow our vegetables, grains and graze livestock.

My Happy Booster is designed to be taken right before your evening meal.

You can mix it with still or sparkling water. Or with a juice or smoothie.

Making a cocktail perhaps with muddled (crushed) mint leaves, a slice of lemon or lime or orange, maybe even a speared olive, splash of Grenadine or something else celebratory can stop it from becoming boring. Try serving in a variety of glasses, from tumblers to wine glasses to various cocktail shapes. Take My Happy Booster once a day to begin with, to see how your body responds to it. If your body doesn't take well to it right away then use a half-scoop each day and see how you feel.

Where Should I Store It?

Because we’re using the active forms of vitamins is they're less stable so it's better to keep My Happy Booster in the fridge to prevent the vitamins from oxidizing.

Are There Side Effects?
